SFP LR-2 2.5G Description:
SFP LR-2 2.5G 1550nm 80km is a high-performance SFP transceiver module designed for 2.5Gb/s serial optical data communications, catering to applications such as SDH STM-16 L-16.2, SONET OC-48 LR-2, and 2x Fiber Channel. This compact module offers an impressive transmission distance of up to 80km over single-mode fiber (SMF) at a nominal wavelength of 1550nm.
The Level One SFP LR-2 2.5G is a high performance, cost effective SFP transceiver. It provides up to 1,25 GBPS bi-directional data transfer rate at distances up to 10km on a single fiber core. These bi-directional SFP Transceivers allow data transfer in either direction through a single optical fiber by employing separate wavelengths travelling in either direction.
The SFP LR-2 2.5G transmits using a wavelength of 1550nm and receives using a wavelength of 1310nm. When coupled with the Level One SFP LR-2 2.5G transceiver which transmits at and receives at the opposite rates (1310nm TX and 1550nm RX) you get bi-direction data communication on a single fiber core. The Level One SFP LR-2 2.5G is, therefore, an optimal solution for a high number of fiber lengths in only a few fibers.
