Fusion Splice Sleeves Description:
Fusion Splice Sleeves is made up of cross-linked polyolefin heat-shrinkable tubes, fusion tubes and stainless steel. This protector provides mechanical reinforcement at the joint point and maintains the optic transmission properties of the fiber optic cable. The L-com FOT-FSS-60 fiber optic splice protection sleeve is designed to provide unparalleled support and protection for optical fusion splices. With an outer shrink tube diameter of 3.6mm and an inner diameter of 1.4mm, this 60mm fusion splice sleeve is perfect for safeguarding your fiber optic connections.
Made from transparent Polyethylene (PE) and incorporating a 1.2mm SS201 stainless steel rod, the L-com FOT-FSS-60 ensures long-lasting durability and reliability, even in demanding environments with operating temperatures ranging from -45 to 105°C. Ideal for use with bare fiber and 900um jackets, L-com’s FOT-FSS-60 fiber splice tube shrinks to an outer diameter of 2.8mm after heat application, providing a secure and tight seal. Its transparent PE sleeve allows for easy inspection of the splice, while the stainless-steel rod offers robust mechanical strength, preventing bending and breakage.
This optical fiber splice protection sleeve is compatible with most standard splice trays and fusion splicers, making it a versatile choice for various applications in telecommunications, data centers, and beyond.
